A story of insurance experience:

I was on a trekking to Annapurna base camp with 8 people. It was a nice trekking from the beginning to the Annapurna base camp. This story is about a guy who was friendly and helpful member of the group. At Annapurna base camp we had a great photo session. That guy was more into taking lots of good pictures, he took picture of stars during the night, enjoyed the sunset. He was such cool guy, who wakes so early in the morning for sunrise, to catch up the sunrise right on the top of Mt Fishtail.

He knocked my door. We had planned, climbing a small hill nearby for sunrise picture. We went together, he followed me. Finally we make to a good photogenic spot from where Annapurna base camp village, Annapurna glacier, Mt Fishtail, Mt Annapurna, Mt Annapurna South and the sunrise at Mt Fishtail summit was clearly visible and he could capture all in one picture. After the great photography we started climbing down the hill for the breakfast. As a guide who loves taking pictures, I was happy that I took him to a place where a real photographer needs to be in.

Unfortunately, on our way back he fell on his leg after hitting a sharp headed stone. I guess he tried to protect his camera with his hand broken. And imagine the result; I was forced to carry him down to the lodge at Annapurna base camp. At the beginning he seems okay, but after swelling of the wound he literally could not make downhill walk. There was no option for him except a bird to carry him down. I asked his insurance but he hasn’t.

It was such a pity moment to me. If he had insurance, he could have been taken to Pokhara by helicopter and all would be well. Whatever the situation was his friends decided to charter a helicopter which fit all of us. And we flew down, he paid his medical fees, helicopter charge was shared and I was upset about the situation. I came to office, asked my boss to make travel insurance as a compulsory document for trekking in Nepal.

Moral of the story: Buy $100 insurance and save $10000; in the worst situation in your adventure.

I’ve been browsing on-line greater than three hours as of late, yet I never discovered any interesting article like yours. It is lovely price enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will probably be a lot more useful than ever before. “It’s all right to have butterflies in your stomach. First of all I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question that I’d
like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested
to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing.

I’ve had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.
I do take pleasure in writing however it just
seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost simply just
trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or
    hints? Thank you!
