Best Season for Tsum valley Trek

Like other trekking regions in Nepal; Tsum valley trek is suitable in autumn and Spring. Autumn = September, October, November whereas, Spring = March, April & May.

However, Tsum valley has enough villages and tea houses along the trekking route to trek in other seasons as well. Trekking in monsoon is not recommended as there are numerous chances of landslides along the trekking route.

Trekking to Manaslu in winter is completely fine if you can ignore the temperature to negative 10 degree Celsius.

Day 4 :

Soti Khola(700m) to Khorlabeshi(970m).

• Altitude – 970 meters • Special – River valley and greenery • Time – 5/6 hours • Activity – walk through crossing suspension bridges Today you will start your trek. You will walking through sal forest. Walking to Khorlabeshi you will have sight of waterfalls. You will also be crossing suspension bridges to reach to Khorlabensi.

Day 5 :

Khorlabeshi to Dobhan(1070m).

• Altitude – 1070 meters • Special – View of diverse landscapes • Time – 5/6 hours • Activity – Trekking You will be crossing through Budi Gandaki River. Khorlabeshi to Dobhan trail offer you to view the diverse landscapes. It will take around 5 to 6 hours to reach to Dobhan from Khorlabeshi.

Day 6 :

Dobhan to Philim(1570m).

• Altitude – 1570 meters • Special – Exploring Gurung Village at Philim • Time – 6/7 hours • Activity – Crossing through suspension bridges Today you will be walking from Dobhan to Philim. During your walk, you will be crossing suspension bridges. Once, you reach to Philim you will exploring the rich Gurung settlement of Philim Village.

Day 7 :

Philim to Chumling(2386m).

• Altitude – 2386 meters • Special – waterfalls and mountains • Time – 4/5 hours • Activity – Trekking through jungle Today you will make entry to Tsum valley. Walking through narrow trail you will rreach to Chumling. You can view waterfalls and mountains during your walk.

Day 8 :

Chumling to Chhokangparo(3031m).

• Altitude – 3031 meters • Special – View of ganesh himal range • Time – 5/6 hours • Activity – Trekking You will be walking through villages where you can see the Tibetan style houses. You will also be walking through rich farmlands. During your trek, you can get the beautiful view of Ganesh Himal range. Walking 5 to 6 hours will take you to chhokangparo. Day 9 :

Chhokangparo to Nile- Chhule(3361m)

Day 10 :

Nile- Chhule to Mu Gumpa(3710m).

• Altitude – 3710 meters • Special – View of mountains • Time – 3 hours • Activity – Trekking Walking 3 hours with the view of mountains will take you to Mu Gumpa. Mu Gumpa is considered as the largest monastery in this region which is located at the most remote part of the Tsum valley.

Day 11 :

Day excursion at Mu Gumpa and hiking around the village.

Mu Gumpa to Rachen Gumpa(3240m).

Dhumje to Gumpa Langdung (3200m)

Day 15 :

Gumpa Langdung to Ripchet(2470)

Day 18 :

Tatopani to Sotikhola(700m)

• Altitude – 700 meters • Special – Beautiful surrounding view • Time – 4/5 hours • Activity – Trekking Following the trail with the beautiful surrounding view you will reach to sotikhola.

Day 19 :

Drive back from Sotikhola to Kathmandu.
