Derailed Itinerary for Ghorepani Ghandruk Village Trek
• Altitude – 1450 meters
• Special – Scenery view, Bhurungdi Khola and chirping of birds

It is the real beginning of the trek you have been waiting. However, we will drive for about 2 hours in 50 km, till we reach Nayapul. The Ghorepani Ghandruk Village trekking officially begins after checking in your permit and TIMS at ACAP office in Birethanti. From here we walk for about 3 hours till today's destination Hile or Tikhedhunga; enjoying the scenery, soaking in the nature, listening to the flowing Bhurungdi Khola and chirping of birds until we reach Hile.

The day starts passing across few suspension bridges at Tikhedhunga and then the steep climbs of Ulleri is beautiful and tiring. The glorious views of the mountains make the walk a spectacular one, as we can see mountains including Annapurna south 7219m from vantage points. The mixture of culture and nature seen in the local villages along with the farms, streams and springs provide a serene experience. After we pass through the Rhododendron forests, we reach Ghorepani where we spend the night. Ghorepani has a unreal view of mountains and valley. If you are here in spring contrast of bloomed rhododendron makes scenery even more amazing.

This day’s trek starts super early than other days’ as our main goal is to witness the sunrise in the majestic mountains of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The walk to Poonhill is about 45 minutes which is one of the most enriching walk. We get to witness the unparalleled views of the golden rays of the sun shining the snow capped peaks of mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, Dhampus, Tukuche, Mardi and many. After relishing in the wonderful views with scattered sun rays, we return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast we continue our walk for about 5-6 hours to reach Tadapani.

The trek to Ghandruk Village is about 2-3 hours, which includes mostly of steep descents inside the jungle full of birds. We pass through Rhododendron forests, streams, ridges and finally stone steps to reach the beautiful and historic village of Ghandruk. The main inhabitants are the Gurkhas. The village surrounded by Annapurna and Machchhapuchhre along with beautiful green hills. This village is one of the largest and oldest Gurung settlements in the country. The highlight of the trek is, the welcoming people and hospitality which allows to have a traditional experience in a natural setting.

It is the last day; we will be descending around 1000 meters today. We walk through stone steps, amidst terraces, antique houses and paddy fields leading to Syaulibazaar 1100 meters. The trip down is enjoyable; with the changing views of Mt. Fishtail, and Annapurna south with green and gray contrast. We end our trek at Nayapul 1050 meters, and take a drive back to Pokhara. You will have options, either to rest or walk or chill in one of the restaurants or pubs in the lakeside area.
Poon hill is a famous hill station to see very wide mountain range of both Dhaulagiri range and Annapurna range. To get to the Poonhill we have to walk through the village and jungle. This has made Poonhill trekking itself a best short trek in Nepal.
