The Ghorepani Ghandruk trek is famous for splendid rhododendron forests with thirteen different spices of Orchids which blossom in the spring season, as well as for the unobstructed view of Sunset and Sunrise from the POONHILL (3210) m. Rhododendron in Poonhill trek blooms in the spring. Spring season in Nepal are the month of March, April & May.
The trail passes through jungle, mountains, green hill landscapes of spectacular mountain ranges, from the low land rice fields at Hile to thrilling thick jungles after Ulleri.

What is good time for Ghorepani Ghandruk trek?
Trekking in Nepal, as a whole is famous in the months of Spring and Autumn. Spring in ponnhill is beautiful with blossom of Rhododendron flowers. Whereas in the autumn – clear sky with fantastic blue sky makes twinkling stars as a appealing factor.

What is the maximum altitude of Poonhill trek?
Poonhill stands at 3210meters above the sea level. In Nepal, this altitude is regarded low – as Nepalis home to the tallest peak – Mt Everest 8848m.
Checking on maximum height – your primary concern is altitude sickness! In Ghorepani Gandruk trek – AMS is not a problem at all. Kathmandu is already 1450m, so height is not an issue on this Annapurna trek.
Highest altitude where we sleep is on the foot of Poonhill; at Ghorepani village. 2880m Ghorepani village is not high at all. Anyone of any age group can easily accomplish this trek for the best experience in Nepal for their short trekking holiday.
