Nepal is an easy travel destination. All most all of the countries all around the world gets visa on arrival, for any kind Nepal travel. Small country Nepal does not have any strict rules for travel protocols. Anyone traveling to Nepal need following documents for trekking tours or climbing in Nepal:

  • Your Valid passport
  • 2 copies of passport size photos & US$50, to get visa on arrival
  • Your travel insurance, remember that your insurance covers travel and the high altitude you get in your Nepal travels
  • Your credit cards, because most of the shops in Nepal has card payment service

Altitude sickness, also called AMS is a famous short time illness seen during trekking in high Himalaya. AMS stands for acute mountain sickness. In case of Nepal high altitude sickness starts above 3000 meters, in general. AMS has different ways of encountering and infection on the human body.   1. HACE

  • Headache (might come and go or stays there for long)
  • Dizzy head
  • Feeling like a heavy head
  • Back lobe of head felling high pressure with persistence ache
  • Loss of memory/Forgetting things OR Difficult speaking
  • Seizures is the bad situation
  • Feeling sleepy or lazy without much of exercise
  • WORST!!! to lose the control of your own body or unbalanced body
  • Coma lead to RESULT!!! Death
  1. HAPE

High altitude pulmonary edema is the full form of HAPE. Like it says in full form, HAPE will affect the pulmonary system of our body. This is the most common altitude sickness encountered while climbing mountains. Some of the Symptoms of HAPE are listed below:

  • Dry Cough
  • Short of breath
  • Headache on the front lobe of your head
  • Descending level of fitness or slow walking behavior
  • Headache that comes and goes frequently

One and only preventive measure of preventing high altitude sickness is by proper acclimatization and once someone is infected the best way is to get down as soon as possible. Some of the remedies of AMS for your Nepal travels are listed below:

  • Proper Acclimatization
  • Eat & drink enough
  • Keep warm with cloths and food or beverage
  • Warm up before starting trek
