Ganesh Himal basecamp trek follow the middle path in between Langtang trekking and Annapurna trekking region.  Since this is one of the base camp trekking, it demands high trekking experience and stable physique with good walking stamina for the trek.

Ganesh Himal basecamp trek mainly offers close & wide view of Mt Ganesh Himal V, Ganesh Himal II, Langtang Li Rung (7,225m) and Paldor peak. Apart from these towering peaks, trekkers can explore more than 35 other named peaks in this trail and more unnamed mountains capped with snow.

Ganesh Himal is named after famous god from Hindu religion. If you remember any of the gods from Hinduism, one with elephant trunk is called God Gonesh and the mountain is named after him. Or if you recognize god Shiva, Ganesh is son of God Shiva.

Before the trek

You will have short introduction about Nepal during one day city tour at Kathmandu, before starting the trek. However, you always can customize this part of the trip.

We start huge introduction of Nepal Himalaya after we start the trekking part. We drive to Salangkhu Khola in a tourist bus or Jeep (jeep if customized), as per the size of group. Exploring varieties of unexplored villages, people & culture of those new surroundings.
