Ganesh Himal basecamp trek mainly offers close & wide view of Mt Ganesh Himal V, Ganesh Himal II, Langtang Li Rung (7,225m) and Paldor peak. Apart from these towering peaks, trekkers can explore more than 35 other named peaks in this trail and more unnamed mountains capped with snow.
Ganesh Himal is named after famous god from Hindu religion. If you remember any of the gods from Hinduism, one with elephant trunk is called God Gonesh and the mountain is named after him. Or if you recognize god Shiva, Ganesh is son of God Shiva.

Before the trek
You will have short introduction about Nepal during one day city tour at Kathmandu, before starting the trek. However, you always can customize this part of the trip.

Safety on the Trek
Since this is strenuous trekking in Ganesh Himal we have to pass altitude at around 5000m under our foot, & we make sure entire trekking team is safe but surely adventurous. We have to take a day acclimatization rest at Gonga.

At the end of Ganesh Himal Basecam trek we conclude our trek with journey to historic place Gorkha. Gorkha Bazzar is one of the famous tour destination in Nepal. This place is famous because, there is a palace of King Prithivi Narayan sahah. Prithivi is that king who conquer small states of 22 & 24 as a single unit (present) Nepal.
As this is a typical village trek, we will walk through the local villages. If you can trek in the time of festival; surely will explore the deep side of the Nepalese culture and festivals in remote Nepal, more than just nature and wilderness, during this basecamp trek.
Best Season for Ganesh Himal basecamp trek
Best season for Ganesh Himal trek is in the autumn. Autumn is from late September to late November. During this season, the trekking trail will be best with mild temperature & weather. Spring is also regarded as the best time to for Ganesh himal basecamp trek. Spring for Nepal is from March to May. Spring is good because of pleasant weather & clear blue sky.

On your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmanadu. Our representative will transfer you to the hotel from the airport.

• Activity – Sightseeing UNESCO world heritage site
Today will be Kathmandu city sightseeing tour. Sightseeing Kathmandu city includes sightseeing of world UNESCO world heritage site including Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swyambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Today you will be heading towards salangkhu Khola from Kathmandu. Scenic drive around 5/6 hours will take you to Salangkhu Khola from Kathmandu.

You trek start today. From salangkhu Khola you will be heading towards to Balche village. Once you reach balche village, you will be able to explore the village which is dominant by Tamang people.

Today, you will have your breakfast at balche village and head towards gonga. Today you will be walking through the forest and you will also witness the view of langtang lirung and gosaikunda ranges.

Today you will be acclimatizing at Gonga. In this day you will be sightseeing around gonga and overnight at there.

Today you will head towards singla. While heading towards singla you will be walking through rhododendron forest along with the view of mountain ranges.

After having breakfast at singla, you will head towards sertung village. It takes around 5 hours of walk to reach sertung village. Today you will witness the panoramic view of mountain range.

Today you will be walking by the side of akhu khola to reach to laba dovan. Today you will be hiking mostly downhill to reach laba dovan.

With the scenic view of surrounding you will head towards Mongethanti. Today the trail is both uphill and downhill. It takes around 6 to 7 hours to reach Mongeythanti.

• Activity – gentle walk
After having breakfast at Mongeythanti, you will walk gently to reach dumchet village. Reaching to dumchet village, you can explore the rich culture and tradition of local community.

Today you will head towards budigandaki. Walking by the side of budigandanki with the amazing view of surroung is very special today.

Today you will head towards to Arughat Bazaar. 5 to 6 hours of walk from Budigandaki will take you to Arughat Bazaar.

Today you will be walking around 3/4 hours. On the trail you will pass through villages before reaching to Khan Chowk.

Today you will walk towards to famous gorkha bazzar. To reach to gorkha bazzar from Khan chowk you mostly need to walk uphill. It takes around 3/4 hours to reach to Gorkha Bazzar.
