Trekking to Everest Base camp starts after short flight to Lukla. Lukla is the gateway to Everest region. After 22 minutes of scenic flight, we will reach Tenjing Hillary Airport. This airport has scenic view of Karyolong Mountain and beautiful Dudh Ksohi river valley. Once we get to Lukla, we will have breakfast at local restaurant and trekking begins to Monjo. Today’s hike is gradual downs and ups (warm up Hike), which will be approx 3 hours from Lukla to Monjo. We will stay at local guest house at Monjo village, Monjo is village with view of Mt. Thamsherku.
Trekking will take around 8 hours to get to Namche. Walking through the jungle, following the river valley, pine forest, numerous suspension bridges; these features of today's hike will brightens you for choosing trekking in Nepal. We start trekking to Namche after breakfast at Monjo. We will pass numerous suspension bridge including iconic high altitude bridge at Larche Dovan. After Lunch at Jorsalle village (national park check point is at Jorsalle village), we meet this highest bridge and the trail starts steep ascent of the day. Your mission of this trekking in Nepal is to trek Everest Base Camp; so do not rush today, take it slow, do not rush in order to compete other or yourself, save energy for higher up. From Durpin dada (translates as Binocular ridge in Nepali) we will have first sight to Everest if the weather is perfect.
Walk higher and sleep low is main motto of today's hike. So, we do day hike for couple of hours which starts from Everest view point at Sagarmatha National Park Museum. Once you visit this National Park Museum, you can decide which landmark to choose for the hike. You can decide these things with your guide on the spot. Khumjung village has Hillary school (funded by Tenjing Hillary Foundation from the establishments till this date), has a monastery with Yeti Scalp. We also can see mountain village and people working at their field. Whereas Everest View Hotel has perfect view of entire Everest Mountain range. We will stay at the restaurant of this hotel, order some tea and take a sip of tea with magnificent view of Everest and all the range. Khunde Village is famous for having Khunde Hospital (it is a small Hospital) and it has a Monastery (every village has a monastery in Nepal.
It will take approx. 5 hours to trek from Namche village to Tengboche. Tengboche is famous for its monastery. This monastery is biggest monastery of the Khumbu region & it is famous for foot step of Lama Sange Dorje printed on the stone. You can see this foot and hand print of Snage Dorje right at the main temple entrance gate of Tengboche Monastery. Scenery of the mountain is perfect as you can see Everest all most all day if weather is clear. Another interesting thing about Mountain View is the scenery of Thamsherku and Mt. Amadablam which looks far at the beginning of the day and gets really closer at the end of the day.
After breakfast we will head to Dingboche village. Dingboche village lies in between Mt. Lotse and Mt Amadablam. People used to stay at Pheriche village which is next to river and got really windy. As we stay for acclimatization at this village we need to spend two night in here, so we choose a place with less wind and that is Dingboche. Dingboche is second acclimatization destination during trekking to Everest Base camp. Day 07 Acclimatization at Dingboche 4350m, side trip to Nangkarsyang peak (5081m) We will do side trip to Nangkarsyang peak aftre breakfast at the local guest house. The entire hike all the way to top takes about 4 hours. If you want to save energy for your Everest Base Camp view walk till the height of 4800 meters and it is enough for acclimatization. From the hike you will be able to see unreal view of Dingboche valley, Imja river, Chola lake (glacial lake), Makalu (8 thousander mountain) and many other surrounding mountains. We will come back to Dinboche for Lunch.
Trekking to Lobuche gives different view of Everest mountain range. Once you get to the top of Thukla pass, we will have different prospective of Khumbu himalaya range. Mt. Pumori, Lobuche peak, Mt. Nuptse and many other on Lobuche side looks awesome whereas Pheriche river valley and Mt. Amadablam on another side is picturesque. Thukla pass is not hard pass like Chola Pass or Kongmala Pass but its steepness all the way to top from Thukla village will take approximately an hour. Take slow and steady steps, do not push too much; you will make to the top for magnificent view. You also can see all the memorials of Climbers from Everest Expedition on the top of Thukla pass. Once you get to the top, trail is gradual and easy but might be windy. Do not forget to watch sunset at Mt. Nuptse, it is awesome.
Lobuche has a great sunrise view on the surrounding Mountains, but it will be colder start than other days. Lobuche village being at the altitude of 5000 meters your walking pace will be less than usual; also we start early as we will need to walk for approx 9 hours today; this is a big day. It is big day since we will conquer Everest base camp and tick it off of your bucket list. We walk for 3 hours to Gorakshep village, have lunch after checking in the local Guest house; right after Lunch we will hike to Everest Base Camp for 3 approx 3 hours. It will take another 3 hours to get back from Everest Base Camp to Gorakshep for that overnight stay.
We leave really early to catch Kalapatthar sunrise. Apart form amazing sunrise behind the mountains we will see infinite number of Mountain range and the mountain Valley. Kalapatthar is one and only point of the entire Everest base camp Trek, from where you can see all ( Khumbu ice fall, Khumbu Glacier, Everest Base Camp and all the towering) mountains at once.It will take 2 hours to get to the top of Kalapatthar but you can catch preetymuch similar view from 1/3rd of the entire climb. After the view, we get down to the Lodge, have our breakfast and fly to Lukla in helicopter. Helicopter will fly right above the Khumbu Glacier which gives awesome view of the mountains and the glacier. We will fly out of Lukla by plane (this plane might be the smallest passenger plane you have ride). Scenic flight to Kathmandu will end the trip. After getting back to Kathmandu your guide will help you to check in your hotel.
Overview of EBC trekking up Helicopter down trek

From there, a scenic trail leads to the lovely Thyangboche, which is surrounded by green flora, huge tree lines, and a variety of peaks with views of Mt. March, April, May, October, and November are the most popular months for hiking in the Everest region because they are the months with the best weather. The spring and the fall often include mild temperatures, sunny skies, little to no rain, and a lower probability of unfavorable snowfall.Although the winter months of December, January, and February are undoubtedly the off-season, they are not necessarily a “poor” time to travel to EBC. You would need to be well-prepared for freezing situations because temperatures can get very low. However, the skies are frequently exceptionally clear in the winter, providing stunning mountain views. It is not recommended to visit EBC during the rainy season (June to early September). In addition to the rainy weather, which can cause mudslides and landslides on routes, rain clouds can block the views of the mountains. However, it is also warmer now, and it doesn’t rain all day every day too often.Maximum altitude of the trek
Your journey start from Nepal capital city Kathmandu (1400m) to lukla airport (2846 m). Lukla is the starting point of trekking and in this trek you get the maximum altitude kalapathar (5545m).Fitness level or Difficulty of Everest basecamp heli trek

EBC Heli Trek overview
Everest base camp trekking has been in the bucket list of many mountain lovers from around the globe. But the length of vacation and unsure about physical fitness level has made this base camp trek less sure.To mitigate this gap of vacation days or fitness level and interest in trekking to EBC; we suggest Everest base camp trek helicopter return package.Basically this package of trek to Everest base camp is similar to normal Everest base camp trekking; but to shorten the number of days and avoid the repeated trekking trail on return; you will fly back to lukla on actual Everest base camp trek day. After starting the trek from Lobuche; trekkers will have a quick lunch at Gorakshep and then trek to Everest base camp. After getting to the Everest base camp everyone gets back to Gorak Shep for the night stay. And the next morning we hiked up to Kalapatthar to get the sunrise above Mt Everest.Soon after breakfast at Gorakshep – our chopper is ready to take you back to Lukla for connecting flight to Kathmandu.Purpose of staying overnight at Gorakshep village is to watch the sunrise from the summit of Kalapatthar, which is one of the highlights of Everest base camp trek. But if you do not want to spend the night at Gorak Shep you can fly right after Everest base camp. Also you can do both on the same day and fly back to Lukla – the same day But the weather of the Mountain is never predictable. If you choose to fly back to Lukla on the same day and if you have to choose – either basecamp or kalapatthar! Our suggestion is Kalapatthar. From the top of kala patthar you can see Everest base camp and the stunning view – along with. But Everest base camp is about pride of getting there. If you want to make a pride or a view :– your decision; at this point. On the contrary – as EBC Heli Trek package takes you on the air – trekking to basecamp on foot and taking a helicopter for aerial view of Kalapatthar and Mount Everest would be wiser. These all depend on the weather of the day you will be trekking from Lobuche to gorakshep. Thus it’s wise to decide on this with your trekking guide for the trip.Everest basecmap helicopter trek Major Highlights
