Overview
Kongma La Pass is 5, 545m height one of the Everest highs adventure pass trekking trail of Everest region. This pass is also included within three passes trek of Everest region, though Khongma La is separately heading towards Everest base camp. this trek is one of the challenging pass and glory in Everest region Himalaya’s views trekking in Nepal.
The Khongma La Pass trek gets ahead of the Khumbu glacier opposite of Lobuche peak with the height of 6119m, many small mountains, Pokalde 5,806 m. And Mhra peak 5,616M. (kong ma Tse).The Mhra peak is South-West ridge of Nuptse between the Khumbu and Nuptse Glaciers. The view from Pokalde peak and Mhra peak can see dramatic uncountable white mountains including Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Island peak, Makalu, Cho you, Everest, Pumori, Nuptse and Lhotse. Especially closest to the immense south face of Nuptse and the East of the Kongma La.

More information about Kongma Tse peak climbing
Kongma Tse Peak (56849m.) is situated in the Everest region at north of Kongma-la above the Khumbu Glacier. Kongma Tse Peak is also known as Mehra peak. It is located opposite Lobuche village, which make up the long South-West Ridge of Nuptse between Nuptse glacier and Khumbu glacier. Kongma Tse peak climbing was opened and issued a permit for climbing only in 2002. It is a rarely climbed peak & least famous of the Everest himalaya region.
From the summit of Kongma Tse Peak you can enjoy the excellent view of the mountains like Mt. Everest (8848.86), Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu, Baruntse, Ama Dablam, Pumori and many other peaks from the Khumbu range and beyond till Tibetan mountains. The summit is more approachable from the south of the mountain. From the glacial lake in the east of Kongma La. We can see the steeped glacier flowing down in-between south and south east ridges of the infinite mountain range. On the border of the glacier is the normal route to ascend the peak.
Kongma Tse Peak is not technically difficult to climb and does not require previous climbing experience.

As located opposite to a famous peak named Lobuche, Kongma Tse Peak has a great view of snow capped mountain valley and stunning landscape. It is a diamond shaped climbing peak which was opened and permitted for climbing in 2002. Since then mountaineers the world over mountaineers visit Kongma Tse every year and devour the peace and tranquility its wilderness offers. Rhododendron flowers, beautiful waterfalls, suspension bridges, Sherpa settlement , mani stones , prayer flags , mountain views, revitalizing walk and many more are there to be enjoyed when it comes to Kongma Tse. South of Kongma Tse offers a better and easier route to the summit of the mountain.
Technically stating Kongma Tse Peak Climbing starts with sightseeing of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Then we fly to Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla(2860m), from where we traverse into Namche(3440m) via Phakding(2070m). After a day’s acclimatization at Namche, we hike ahead to Tengboche(3867m) moving to Pheriche(4252m). Thereafter, the trail takes us to Lobuche(4230m) and Kala Patthar(5545m). Having stayed overnight at Gorak Shep, we reached Everest Base Camp(5380m). Then we moved to Lobuche(4930m) , Dingboche(4343m), Chhukung(4730m) arriving at Kongma Tse Base Camp(5102m). We summit Kongma Tse(5896m) then trace back to Chuukung(4730m) moving forward to Dingboche(4343m). Then we moved to Tengboche(3867m), Jorsalle(2923m), finally arriving at Lukla(2860m).

The journey of Kongma se peak climbing begins with the scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The journey from Lukla to the base camp of the Kongma La peak is an exciting experience to the climbers. The trekking provides the combination of natural cultural experience to the climbers. The beautiful landscapes, views of waterfalls, cascading down of the rivers and its valleys, beautiful forest with blooming rhododendron flowers, and various Sherpa settlements on the way provides the overwhelming experience to the climbers.
