What to expect in self-guided Poon Hill Hike?
Physically, the guide will not be available with you but he/she will be giving you all the required information through phone. Reaching to the final destination as per following the guidelines through satellite / phone can be a new experience for the trekkers in Nepal.
During the trek, the food and accommodation facilities will be booked on a day to day basis by our company (Nepalgram Adventure). We will let you know about the hotel/teahouse you are staying in through satellite phone.

You will be hiking through an easy trail witnessing the rich vegetation, birds, landscapes and wildlife of the poon hill area. Itinerary of Poon Hill Trek
The poon hill hike starts from Kathmandu. The first day you will be travelling to Pokhara from Kathmandu. It takes around 8 hours’ drive from Kathmandu to reach Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, you will stay overnight at a hotel.
The next day, a 2 hours’ drive from Pokhara will take you to Nayapul. After reaching Nayapul, you will hike towards Hile which will take around 3 hours.
The 3rd day of your hike will take you to Ghorepani in around 8 hours. The 4th you will wake up early in the morning and have a short hike for 45 minutes to view the sunrise from Poon hill and return back to Ulleri which will take around 3 hours. From ulleri 3 hours of drive will take you back to Pokhara.
The next day is the last day of your hike. Collecting all the memories and experiences you will be heading back to Kathmandu from Pokhara.
Poon hill hike can also be merged with Ghandruk Village trek. Ghandruk Village is considered to be the best place to watch the mountains and to explore culture, tradition, food, language and custom of local Gurung settlement.
