Best Time to Trek Annapurna Base Camp
Annapurna Base Camp trek can be done throughout the year but autumn and spring season (March – May) is considered to be the best time (September – November) to trek to Annapurna Base camp. These seasons are the peak season so you can find many numbers of trekkers in the trail of Annapurna Base camp. The view of surroundings and mountains are clear in these seasons along with the comfortable trail.
However, monsoon and winter seasons are not highly recommended but you can find the trail with few numbers of trekkers to Annapurna Base Camp. Monsoon season is not recommended due the slippery trail because of rainfall but once the surrounding is clear after rainfall you can find the best and clear view of eye-catchy snow-capped mountains. You can also view the surrounding full of eye-catchy flowers which seems like wild garden during monsoon season.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek can be completed 12-14 days as per the choice of trekkers. The 12 days Annapurna Base Camp Trek starts from 8 hours’ drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The 2nd day you will be travelling in a private vehicle for 2 hours and hiking 4 hours to reach Hile.
During the drive and hike you will be blessed to witness the scenic view of the surrounding.
The 3rd day you will be trekking towards Ghorepani which will take you around 7 hours. During the trek you will witness the majestic Annapurna Ranges and Mount Dhaulagiri.The next day you will be hiking to Poonhill for around 2 hours in the morning for eye-catchy view of sunrise along with the mountains and 6 hours hike to reach to Tadapani.
The 5th day of your trek will take you to the chhomrong village. It takes around 6 hours to reach the chhomrong village from Tadapani.The next day you will be trekking through bamboo forest for 7 hours to reach Himalaya.
The 7th day of your trek will take you to Annapurna Base Camp through the trail of jungle and no tree zone which will take around 7 hours.You will be witnessing the Annapurna ranges from close along with the Mount Hiunchuli and Mount Machhapuchhre from Annapurna Base Camp.
The next day you will be heading towards sinuwa. It takes around 8 hours to reach Sinuwa from Annapurna Base Camp.
The 9th day of your trek will take you to Jhinu Hotspring where you can find natural hot water. You can take a bath and relax at Jhinu.The next day you will hike 6 hours to reach Pothana. During the hike to Pothana, you will be passing through many villages and see the culture and lifestyle of local settlement.
The next day you will be hiking downhill for 3 hours to reach Phedi and from Phedi you will be travelling in a private vehicle for 2 hours. The next day is the last day of your trek. You will be heading back to Kathmandu in a tourist bus.
