Best Time for Yara Ghara Upper Mustang trekking
If you are doing Upper Mustang trekking – monsoon is okay. However rest of the trekking trails of Nepal (mostly the famous trekking routes) are not recommended in monsoon because of the rainfall in those regions.Upper mustang does not get rain even in the monsoon season – so trekking in Monsoon is possible .For yara Ghara route it is recommended to trek in the spring.

If you are looking for the perfect season for trekking in Nepal during the summer months, the Upper Mustang will spontaneously come on your detector. Interestingly enough, the summer months are also relatively quiet. The best teahouses will be yours. The most popular times of the year are Spring and Autumn.
In May the Tiji Festival is conducted. Many trekkers like to combine their adventure with this traditional festival. The three-day festival takes place on the premises of the former king of Mustang’s palace. The locals from far and wide visit Lo Manthang (Upper Mustang) to participate in the festival. You can also go trekking in the Upper Mustang in winter, but you will have to make sure you are bringing the right gear.
