Manaslu is the 8th highest mountain of Nepal complete inside the Nepalese boundary. The basecamp of this eighth highest peak of the world is in the unique geography, above the hanging glacier that supplies water on the nearby glacial lake called Birendra Lake. Manaslu means a Sanskrit word Manaslu, meaning “intellect” or “soul” and is famous as a Mountain of the spirit located in the Gorkha, Manang-Gandaki Zone, Nepal whereas Mt Manaslu is located itself in Mansiri Himal, Himalayas. Manaslu basecamp is regarded as the pristine high land location very near to the valley view point. Manaslu is often said as “wall of snow and ice hanging in the sky”.

Variation, Famous & Selected treks in Manaslu Base Camp region are – Manaslu Trek/ Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek/ Manaslu base camp trek to Samagaun/ Rapid Manaslu Circuit Trek/

Base camp of this mountain is one of the major sightseeing points in route of Manaslu circuit trekking trail. The side trip is an acclimatization hike for people staying in the village of samagaun. This basecamp is regarded as the tough acclimatization hike, however. Basecamps of the mountains normally doesn’t have great view as it is normally on the closed perimeter of tall mountains, so it the Manaslu basecamp. Even though Annapurna Himalaya range is very close to Manaslu you cannot see the Annapurna range from the base camp of Manaslu. However, from the top of Larkey pass wide range of Annapurna can be seen in the Manaslu circuit trek.

Wildlife of the region is conserved in a preserved eco system by Manaslu conservation area also called MCAP was established in 1997 in an area of 1,663 square kilometers (642 sq mi). The route of Manaslu basecamp or Manaslu circuit trekking trail has 10 peaks over 6,500 meters (21,300 ft) are visible, including a few over 7,000 meters (23,000 ft). The best view point is Larky La itself which is at an elevation of 5,106 meters (16,752 ft). The major mountains in the region are Himalchuli (7,893 m / 25,896 ft), Ngadi Chuli (7,871 m / 25,823 ft), Shringi (7,187 m / 23,579 ft), Langpo (6,668 m / 21,877 ft) and Syaula (6,235 m / 20,456 ft), Naikey peak (6100 meter 20008 ft) and Larkey peak right next to Larkey pass top.

Tsum valley trek is often included in the Manaslu circuit trek and this will also take trekkers to Manaslu basecamp as a side trip. But looking at the physical stress and the longest pass of Larkey la pass, this basecamp hike as a side trip is rarely chosen. Manaslu base camp trekking is a restricted trekking destination in Nepal, hence conserved the pristine beauty of nature along with the antique culture, tradition and the architecture of the village along the basecamp trekking route. The trekking trail follows an ancient trading route along the Budhi Gandaki River.

Easy Peak Climbing

Easy Peak climbing denotes to those peaks which are less technical and are also called trekking peaks of Nepal. Trekking peak or technically easy peak climbing do not involve long rope climbing or fixed roping. Unlike to technical peak climbing you do not have to rely on your harness and also necessarily do not need to use the ice axe. However, for safety purpose you still will use rope and ice axe for precautions.

Variation, Famous & Selected Easy Peak Climbing are – Himchuli peak/ Pokalde Peak Climbing/ Saribung Peak Climbing/ Pisang Peak Climbing/ Yala Peak Climbing/ Larkey Peak Climbing/ Island Peak Climbing with EBC Trek/ Short Mera Peak Climbing/ Mera Peak Climbing/ Mardi Himal Peak Climbing/ Island Peak Climbing with EBC Gokyo Trek/

To be honest – Easy peak climbing means those trekking peaks where you can literally walk like you are walking by beach when temperature is really low.
Because of the mountain wilderness – so called easy peak still demands longer hours of continues walk from one camp to another. And in relation with altitude of different peaks – a headache due to high altitude in most cases, while climbing easy peaks of Nepal.
Some of the famous easy peaks of Nepal are Mera peak and Yala peak climbing. Both of these peak are also famous as trekking peaks of Nepal Himalaya. If you are looking for a first time peak climbing adventure in Nepal – one out of these two will not let you down.
Mera peak has 3 summit and all of them are easy enough whereas Yala peak climbing is really easy. Climbing guides of Nepal use Yala peak as training peak for their basic course, this certainly tells you degree of technical difficulty of Yala peak climbing. However, both of these trekking peaks are in the prime location to see the infinite mountain ranges. Yala peak is located in Langtang and Mera peak is inside Makalu Barun conservation area. From the summit of Mera peak you can see highest mountain of world – Mount Everest and other 3 peaks above 8000 meters from the sea level.

Jungle Trekking

Nepal conserves huge area of forest and helps in controlling global warming by cutting carbon production. Greenery in Nepal is conserved in the form of national parks, conservation area, wildlife reserves, community forest, hunting reserves and wetland areas. Trekking in those protected forest is a part of jungle trekking we do in packages of Nepalgram.

Variation, Famous & Selected Jungle Trekking are – Ghorepani Ghandruk Hike/ Chisapani Nagarkot Hike/ Poon Hill Hike/ Helambu Hike/ Tamang Heritage Hike/ Mardi Himal Hike/ Phari Lapcha Peak Climbing/ Langtang Valley Hike/ Gosaikunda Hike/ Annapurna Base camp Trek/ Namche Trek/ Langtang Trek with Helicopter Return/ Manaslu base camp trek to Samagaun/ Limi Valley Trek/ Manaslu View Bhimtang Valley Trek/ Nagarjung Hike & Rock climbing/ Changunarayan Nagarkot Day Hiking Tour/ Short Mera Peak Climbing/ Mera Peak Climbing/ Mardi Himal Peak Climbing/ Upper Dolpo Camping Trek/ Tsum Valley Trek/ Tamang Heritage Trail Trek/ Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek/ Round Annapurna Trek/ Rolwaling Valley Tasi Lapcha pass Trek/ Rara Lake Trek/ Rapid Manaslu Circuit Trek/ Poon Hill Trekking Tour/ Poon Hill Trek/ Phoksundo lake Dolpo Trekking/ Phaplu Everest base camp Trek/ Numbur Cheese Circuit Trek/ Nar Phu Valley Trek/ Mardi Himal Trek/ Manaslu Tsum Valley Trekking/ Manaslu Cultural Circuit Trek/ Makalu Base Camp Trekking/ Langtang Valley GanjaLa Pass Trek/ Langtang Valley Trek/ Langtang Gosainkunda Trek/ Langtang Circuit Trek/ Khopra Danda Trekking/ Kanchenjunga Trek/ Jomsom Muktinath Trek/ Jiri Gokyo Everest Basecamp Trek/ Helambu Trekking/ Helambu Gosainkunda Lake Trekking/ Gosaikunda Trek/ Poonhill Ghandruk Village Trek/ Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek/ Ganesh Himal Base Camp Trekking/ Everest Three High Passes Trek/ Everest Panorama View Trek/ Everest Basecamp Chola pass Gokyo Ri Trek/ Everest Basecamp Chola Pass Gokyo Trek/ Everest Basecamp Trekking Tour/ EBC Arun Valley Trekking/ Manaslu Trekking/ Dudh Kunda Lake Trekking/ Dhaulagiri Base camp Trek/ Langtang Valley Circuit Trek/ Chisapani Nagarkot Trek/ Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek/ Annapurna Circuit Trek/ Annapurna Circuit Heli Trek/ Annapurna Base Camp Trekking/ Annapurna 2 High Passes Trek/

Apart from those conserved area there are other auto protected region which can be discovered along the trekking route of remote Himalayas in Nepal. While trekking in the remote trekking destinations of Nepal there are many villages with barren lands and those lands are private but after not farming there for years, these lands are now forest.
Trekking has always been through the jungle, in Nepal. If you want to trek all the time inside the jungle you can choose trekking like Mard himal trek or other new trekking routes. If you want to trek in the dense forest then you have to choose something similar to Jattapokhari camping trek or similar camping treks.
Either you trek to famous Annapurna base camp or Everest region trail – forest trekking is partially available in all the regions. The concern among most of the travelers coming to Nepal is either they will want to be in the jungle for most of time or they just want to experience the jungle trekking partially.
Trekking in Nepal has always been into the nature. And jungle has always been inseparable part of trekking activity. But in few cases, there are some trekking destinations like upper mustang and Upper Dolpo where all you see is deserted landscape. Those trekking trails are rain shadow zone and are not for jungle trekking.
In Nepal, Jungle trekking is not possible when you get above the altitude of 4000 meters. From this height no tree zone starts and all you see is bushes and the towering mountains.

Technical Peak Climbing

Climbing in Nepal has been a dignified adventure activity by then. Nepal climbing peaks are generally the first thing that comes in mind of people travelling to Nepal. Among thousands of peaks in Nepal, there are different types of peaks – trekking peak, technical peak, expedition peak and training peaks. Technical peak climbing is not an expedition but is considered as hard peak to climb.

Variation, Famous & Selected Technical Peak Climbing – Chulu East peak climbing/ Amadablam Expedition/ Chulu West Peak Climbing/ TharpuChuli Peak Climbing/ Lobuche peak climb after EBC Trek/

Technical peak climbing needs skills about rope climbing. If you are used to rock climbing – technical peak will not be an issue. Even if you are climbing first time in the snow peaks of our technical peak climbing packages – general knowledge about climbing gears, use of harness, use of rope, simple knowledge on carabineer and safety measure knowledge is appreciated.
Nepal climbing adventure is summoned in technical peak climbing packages. Your enthusiasm and endurance while climbing is always mandatory – however, our expert guides and climbing team will always be there to help you for the necessary pull up or climb downs. Technical ice climbing is a part of Nepal peak adventure that you are looking for.
For easy example – Mt Amadablam (6812 meters) is regarded as the technical peak climbing. Climbing below 7000 meters is always regarded as peak climbing but many call Amadablam peak climbing as an expedition as well. This is just because of its technical difficulty. Technically Amadablam peak climbing is tougher than Everest expedition itself.
Indeed, some of the renowned & easy peaks like Island peak, Lobuche peak, Taboche peak, Nayakang peak can also be technical peaks with respect to the season of climbing. Climbing these peaks in winter is a challenge and hence considered as technical peaks respective to the climbing season. However, these peaks are considered as an easy peaks in spring season (spring is regarded as best time for mountaineering in Nepal).
