Height of the peak – 6017 meters/19,740 ft

Trip Introduction

Phari Lapcha peak climbing to 6,017m / 19,740ft in Nepal is an adventurous mountain topography of Nepal. Among the 33+ popular trekking peaks of Nepal, Phari Lapcha is the one with a genuine & tempting alpine setting that suits for a perfect climbing experience.

Phari Lapcha was only added to the permitted trekking peak list in 2002. The journey all the way to the summit is greatly suitable for an exotic and striking mountaineering experience.

Phari Lapcha is situated in Solukhumbu district along the Mahalangur Himalayan Range. Solukhumbu district is home of Mt Everest.

The height of the peak is 6,017 meters from the sea level and placed under group “A” among climbing peaks in Nepal; by Nepal mountaineering association. The peak was opened for climbing in 2002 and today is among the most loved peak climbing destinations after trekking in Nepal.

Alpine style climbing involves kilometers-tall lines on steep mixed ice and rock at a relatively low altitude.

Phari Lapcha itself has two summits. East Summit (5,977m) is slightly lower than the main top. Phari Lapcha is sometimes confused with Dawa peak (5,920m) to the north-west of the main summits, and has been called Phari Lapcha West although it is arguably an entirely separate peak.

Where is Phari Lapcha peak located?

It is in the Mahalangur range and lies just south-west of the famous Gokyo valley trekking route. It has since become popular among experienced climbers as it offers extremely challenging climbs & trill.

Situated in the valley, the peak appears as a snow giant popping above the yak pastures and grassy meadows.

The close up view of mountains such as Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Ama Dablam, Baruntse and others will greet you all the way to the summit of Phari Lapcha peak.

The inviting culture & Tradition of Sherpa people of Khumbu region will pacify you profusely. The rich wildlife of the region makes an appealing trekking/Climbing to explore.
