Australian camp at the height of 2000 meters or 6560 feet is famous as a view point for the panoramic view of the mountains like Annapurna south, Hiuchuli, Tarke glacier dome, Annapurna IV, Annapurna II, Lamjung himal, Manaslu, Nagdi Himal, Mt. Buddha from the Australian camp is magnificent. This camp is replacement of sunrise view of Ponhill station in Ghorepani village.

How to get to Australian camp?
Once you climb up from kande, you will meet a settlement with four teahouses which used be famous as Bhedi kharka among the locals. This village is Australian camp.
You can also trek uphill from Phedi for 5 hours to get to Kande. Phedi entrance to get to Australian camp is trekking along the mountain village, paddy field. The beautiful landscape is stunning. But the trekking trail from Phedi to Australian camp is a straight uphill walk and hike is mostly on the stone stairs.

In the past, one Australian student group hiked from Pokhara to Australian. They stayed in a tented camp and Bhedi kharaka turned as camp, since then.
As Australian tracks you to the outer hilltop than poonhill station, other ridges like; ridge on the way to Mardi Himal base camp trek and green hill ridge towards Annapurna base camp looks awesome from camp. This camp view is wide and amazing, even though being near town city pokhara.
