    However, before setting foot on the trails that circumvent the eighth-highest mountain in the world, it’s crucial to understand the trekking permits required to ensure a smooth and legal journey.

    Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (RRP): During the Manaslu Base Camp Circuit Trek, special permits is mandatory because this is that part of Nepal which is still preserving unique culture, ecological and geographical significance.  This permit is essential for all trekkers wishing to enter the Manaslu region. The permit is issued by the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu or through registered trekking agencies in Nepal. You cannot obtain this permit as an individual; you must be accompanied by a licensed guide. The cost of Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (RRP) is USD 150/-

    Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP): This permit is required for entry into the Manaslu Conservation Area. You can obtain this permit in Kathmandu or at the entry points of the conservation area. The cost of Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP) is NPR 3000/-

    Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP): The Annapurna Conservation Area is a protected region, and obtaining an ACAP is essential for trekking in this area. ACAPs can be obtained at the entrance of the Annapurna region or in Kathmandu through the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) or the ACAP office. The cost of Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) is NPR 3000/-
