Short Mera Peak Climbing outline Itinerary
Mera Peak (6476m), which is located in the Mahalangur part of Nepal’s Sagarmatha Zone, Solukhumbu District, and Makalu Barun National Park, is reputed to be the highest allowed trekking peak in the world. It is located east of the main Everest Mountain in the Himalayan region of Mahalangur.
Considering Mera Peak’s altitude of 6476 meters, the climb only requires an essential knowledge of mountaineering techniques and is a straightforward glacier trip. It’s a peak with a moderate degree of technical difficulty, but getting to the top requires a lengthy, hard climb and care on the way down, which passes moraines, ice fields, snowfields, and glaciers.
A climber must be physically fit and mentally prepared to handle difficult conditions at a high altitude in order to make it to High Camp (summit night).
Autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) are the ideal seasons to climb Mera Peak. Climbing is also available in the winter.

The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) issues climbing permits for trekking peaks that provide the climber permission to attempt the climb on a certain peak or route. Because our bodies cannot take in fat and protein well at higher altitudes and to make up for the increased caloric requirement that high-altitude climbing entails, meals in the mountains typically consist of a diet high in carbohydrates. We make a conscious decision to make breakfast and dinners as regular and varied as we can. Rice, noodles, spaghetti, potato dishes, as well as vegetable and egg dishes, make up most meals.

Trekking toward the base camp of Mera peak climbing is off the beaten trail.
