Hungu Peak

25 Days

Overview

Overview

Mera Peak offers one of the rare opportunities to and be amongst the few people who have achieved an altitude over 6000 m. Mera Peak at 6654 m, although minor by Himalayan standards, is still higher than many of the world’s other main mountain ranges. It is not a technical climb and has been designated a trekking peak by the Nepalese Government. To ascend it requires strong lungs, good acclimatization, a great deal of will-power, previous experience of crampons and ice-axe techniques.

The walk-in to the base camp for the ascent is a superb trek. Although in Khumbu, the routes keep away from the main trekking trails it still offers views of all the main peaks of the area. The itinerary has been designed to allow the whole group to have the opportunity to ascend to the highest altitude they are personally capable of.
