Welcome to Nepal! Our tour operator will greet you at the international airport on your arrival. Operator will help you to check in to the hotel and fixes the meeting time for sightseeing tour for the following day. Drive to Pokhara by bus will take about 8 hours. From the bus we can see villages and mountains. The bus will have 3 stops along the way for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Once we get to Pokhara you will be helped by our office representative to check in the hotel.
We will stay at the lake side of Pokhara, so make sure you walk around the lake or experience the nightlife of chilled Pokhara city. Do not drink too much, however, as our trekking starts early on the following day.

Drive to Nayapul takes about 2 hours and the trek is around 4 hours. Trek to Tikhedhunga follows the river and passes through a number of villages. Trekking in the river valley and the view of the waterfall higher in the hills will provide awesome sights during today's trek.

Trekking from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani passes through; peaceful green jungle and the pristine village walk. Ghorepani Ghandruk trekking provides a wide range of experiences; today we will experience jungle walking.
Once you get to Ghorepani, view of the mountains is unreal. The entire Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Range can be observed from upper Ghorepani village.

Trekkers staying at Ghorepani village go for the early morning sunrise hike to Poonhill. The hike up to Poonhill takes around 1 hour 30 minutes. Sun rising from behind the Annapurna Mountain range will surely take your breath away.
The 180 degree mountain panorama is something unreal you will get to witness today. If you are trekking with Nepalgram in spring time, forests will be all covered with red flowers of Rhododendron. Trekking to Tadapani after breakfast at Ghorepani will take 6 hours, mostly through the forest.

3 hours from Tadapani will take us to Ghandruk village. Ghandruk is a cultural village with beautiful scenery of Annapurna South and Fishtail.

If you have heard about Gurkhas, Ghandruk is the village of Ghurkhas. The village of Ghandruk has 100s of Ghurkha family. Most of them are retired British army and few are Indian army.
Not all the Gurkhas live in the village as people started migrating abroad or to the cities like Pokhara and Kathmandu; but still there are houses of those family and their relatives.
Ghandruk village has antique architecture, paved road with stones and narrow alley like old cities of Nepal.
Old museum, closeness to the snowcapped mountains, surrounded by green forest, hub for the local people and pristine location are major factor of making Ghandruk village a famous village of Annapurna Nepal.
Ghandruk village is located in the starting point of Annapurna base camp trekking trail. 4 hours from Pokhara by bus – Ghandruk village has motrable road access. You can drive by taxi to Ghandruk village.
Geographically – Ghandruk village is located very close to Mardi Himal trekking trail and even closer to Annapurna base camp. Ghandruk is route to Annapurna base camp trekking, Khopra danda trekking trail and ending point of Annapurna circuit and Upper mustang trekking trail.
However Ghandruk village with Poonhill trail is one of the famous short trekking in Nepal.
To get to Ghorepani village there are 2 options. One you can drive to Nayapul or hile and then start trekking on the foot trails. Most of the trail is uphill and most of them with stairs. Another options with recent development of the motorable road in Ghorepani region is by driving all the way to Banthati and walk for 2 hours to get to Ghporepani village.
With longer route – you can drive from Pokhara to Tatopani and then to Sikha before driving near Ghorepani. If you drive to Ghorepani from Sikha side – you get very close (1 hours from road to Ghorepani village) to the Ghprepani village.
Among all trekking from Hile is recommended to get to Ghoprepani village. The trail with local villages and the jungle with beautiful scenery of jungle and mountains popping out of those green hills is best thing that will happen to you.
Not always but yes, in the winter Gahndruk village witness the light snowfall. As Ghandruk village is very close to Mt Annapurna south and Mt Hiuchuli, the snow fall in the winter is common.
Whereas – Ghorepani village is all surrounded by 2 big mountain range of Nepal – Annapurna range and Dhaulagiri range; snow fall in Ghorepani is common. Not every day but once in every season – there is snow fall in Ghorepani village.
In the winter – it is almost sure to get snowfall in Ghorepani village whereas in Ghandruk village it might not snow even in the winter.
It takes 4 hours by bus to get to Ghandruk from Pokhara. If you start trekking from Nayapul, it takes 2 days to get to Ghandruk village.
To get to Ghandruk village – you can take bus/jeep/taxi from Pokhara. If you want to hike – take taxi till Nayapul/Birethati and start hiking towards Syauli bazzar.
Trekking via seuli bazzar is uphill stairs.
Another beautiful route to get to Ghandruk village is by doing Poonhill Ghorepani trekking. This way – you first trek to Poonhill & trek towards Tadapani village before descending towards Ghandruk village.
Doing Ghorepani Poonhill trek to get to Ghandruk village makes a circuit trekking in small loop. Tadapani is one of the best view point where as jungle walk in between Ghorepani and Tadapani is overwhelming; also Ghorepani Poonhill is more than just awesome. Thus Poonhill trek route to get to Ghandruk is recommended.
To get to Ghandruk from Kathmandu – you can wither fly to Pokhara and take jeep/bus/taxi to get to Ghandruk village or you can drive to Pokhara and drive to Ghandruk village.
People also do mountain biking or motor biking to get to Ghandruk village from Kathmandu.
Ghandruk trekking is not wild trekking – thus visiting Ghandruk is okay all over the year. But sky will be clear and temperature is mild in spring. Spring in Nepal is March to May. Autumn is another good season for trekking in Nepal so is Ghandruk trekking.
In winter the sky of Ghandruk will be clear to see Mountains near you, but the temperature in winter might get near to 0 degree Celsius.
People also travel to Ghandruk in monsoon but it is not recommended unless you like rain and to be lost inside the clouds.
Specifically there is not any strictness to visit Ghandruk village – whenever you have time – Ghandruk village trekking or tour is fine.
Yes. There is local bus from Nayapul to Ghandruk village. For this you can drive to Nayapul and take bus to Ghandruk from there. In near future – there will be bus from Pokhara to Ghandruk itself.
You can see Mt Hiuchuli south to the left and Mt Annapurna next to it. To the right you see iconic Mt Fishtail.
