You will be taking a drive from Kathmandu to Baun danda. Scenic drive around 6 to 7 hours will tae you to Baun Danda from Kathmandu.

It's a simple traveling day following the Dudh Khola through bamboo timberlands around 1½ to 2 hours walk down, we see ahead signs of ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) board at Dharapani. Presently we are in Annapurna Circuit Trekking trail, a climatic Tibetan town with petitioning God banners rippling at the gomba in Thongje. From Dhrapani, the street has been building; you might drive from here to Besisahar by jeep or transport. We'll have a rough drive to Besisahar . In the first part of the day we will back to Kathmandu with our picturesque driving, so we'll attempt to head off ahead of schedule and stop for lunch in transit back. It is located in west-central Nepal about 50 miles from Kathmandu. It is the 8th highest mountain on earth at 26,759′ and has a reputation as one of the “achievable” 8000m mountains. The nearest airport is Kathmandu. Most people fly into Kathmandu and take about a week by off-road vehicles and trekking to reach base camp. Some teams will helicopter in and out of base camp saving time but then spend time acclimatizing before going higher.
At the time of trek we except that For 4 to 5 days at the begging of this trek will be hot during the day, about 25 to 30 degrees celsius. And at the high point in the Larkya Pass (5,160m) will be 10 to 15 degrees Celsius during daytime and night and early morning will be 0 to -10 degrees celsius.
This trek is to challenging and difficult due to the rugged and remote landscapes of the region require a long duration of the walk.
As we know that At 8,163 meters, climbing Manaslu is about as technical and challenging as Cho Oyu (8,188 metres) and Shisapangma (8,027 metres) and is a good climb before attempting a serious technical 8,000-metre mountain.
Yes u need guide because without a guide is not possible as the area from Jagat to Bhimthang is declared as a restricted region. You cannot travel as an individual trekker so; you need to be accompanied by one government authorized license holder guide or porter.
It is a great training climb for aspiring Everest climbers to see how their body reacts to high altitude – 8,000m. The climbing from Camp 1 to Camp 4 is harder on Manaslu than on Everest but the summit night on Manaslu is easier and much shorter than on Everest. Manaslu was much harder than Cho Oyu in 2013 and in my overall experience. There are no features on Manaslu like Everest’s Hillary Step or the Yellow Band but the overall atmosphere is similar.
Most reputable guides ask for your climbing resume and require some serious climbing experience. Ideally they want to see climbs of Denali or Aconcagua. But most anyone can get on a Manaslu commercial expedition these days without many questions so be careful who you select since you may get caught up in a mess. There are horror stories of using low cost Nepal based guides but also some with excellent results.
Yes, I used oxygen from Summit Oxygen on the summit push. I used their complete system including bottle, regulator and mask. It was outstanding – the best oxygen system I have ever used including Poisk or TopOut. It was efficient and supplied steady oxygen throughout the climb. Most importantly, when needed in demanding moments, the extra oxygen was delivered quickly.

Best Time to trek Manaslu Bhimtang
This is a short trek to the wildest excursion inside the peaceful trail of Nepal Himalaya. So it is recommended to trek Bhimtang valley in the perfect time as far as possible. However, trekking to Bhimtang is okay, throughout the year.
Best time to visit this trekking route is in the autumn and spring. In this short trek you have so many things to see and very less time to consume the beauty, thus getting it at the right time.
A side Trip for sunrise glimpse – Bhimtang has plenty of options for side trips.
I suggest you avoid monsoon (June & July), as the trail will have leeches on the route and clouds in the sky. Regarding the winter, it is up to you – if you are okay with cold temperatures then the trek is still okay. Remember, the temperature might go below zero, in the morning and at night.
