Do not plan your tilicho trek in the winter. The month of Nov to Feb is winter weather in Tilicho base camp region. However it is doable with some risk involved. Trek with a trekking guide, you will be fine in these months.

Season for Tilicho lake trek
The spring (March to May) and fall (September to November) seasons are the finest times to hike to Tilicho Lake. The weather is typically clear and consistent during these months, with moderate daytime temperatures and chilly nighttime lows.

Rhododendron blossoms are in full bloom in the spring, providing a splash of color to the already breathtaking scenery. The reasonably dry weather also makes for favorable trekking conditions.
The weather is cold and pleasant during the autumn, the skies are clear, and there is excellent visibility for mountain vistas. Major Nepalese festivities like Dashain and Tihar, which take place in the autumn, give your journey an additional layer of culture.

Even though it is possible to hike to Tilicho Lake in both the winter and the summer, the weather can be erratic, with snow and rain creating difficult hiking conditions. In addition, snow and ice during these months may cause some trekking routes to be closed.
What are the treks that can be done together with Tilicho?
One can do, trekking to Tilicho lake and get back to Kathmandu to Pokhara in 7 Days. Or can trek other routes along with Tilicho lake. Along the lake or extension of Tilicho basecamp trek can be Mesokanta pass trek. But, this trek is one of the difficult trekking in the region. However, it does not need any climbing gears. Its just the matter of walking longer hours or staying one night in your tented camp.
Another extension of Tilicho base camp trek can be Annapurna circuit trek. Actually this is one of the famous trekking connected with Tilicho base camp trekking in Nepal. It is called Annapurna circuit trek with Tilichi lake. In this trek, Tilicho basecmap comes first and you will trek over thorong la pass to complete the circuit trek.
Not very common but close enough. Kang la pass trekking in Nar Phu valley can also be connected with tilicho lake trekking. Because of the close proximity of Tilicho lake and Kangla pass, this can be another option to explore the beautiful trek with few trekkers on route. If you are looking to skip the crowd of famous annapurna region trekking. Narphu valley trek with Tilicho lake is the best option.
You will offset the busy trail of Annapurna from Koto village at the starting and will cross the busy route at Manang. Crowd for once in a while is not bad.
