Itinerary
In general, peak climbing is advised for newcomers who are prepared to dive into the realm of mountaineering. Still, high-altitude trekking expertise is necessary to reach the peak’s summit. Extreme elevations, steep ascents, and air that are difficult to breathe make it challenging to reach the peak’s summit.
The optimum months to travel for this climb are March through May and September through November. To complete this hike, you must be in good physical and mental health because the trails are slippery with ice. When it comes to the monsoon, it rains, the views are hazy, and the winters are too chilly and foggy.
The saribung peak rises 6,387 meters above sea level.
As part of this Peak Climbing’s introduction of a peak expedition in the Western region of Nepal, Saribung Peak is situated close to Damodar Himal in a remote section of the Mustang.
We are unable to see Mount Everest from Saribung Peak, but we can see the Nilgiri, Himlung, Lamjung Himal, Mount Manaslu, and Annapurna II mountains instead.
During the ascent to the base camp, drinking water will be made available in the teahouses, and will be available in the form of boiling water, tap water, or bottled water. In addition, we advise utilizing steriepen or other water purifying methods.
One needs to obtain the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit, local government permit, Nepal Mountaineering Association permit, and trekker’s information management system (TIMS) card in order to climb Saribung Peak.
You should include high-altitude climbing equipment, warm, weather-appropriate clothing, a sleeping bag, camping supplies, mountaineering boots, a headlamp, and a first aid package for yourself. While making sure you have everything you need for the hike, it’s crucial to pack lightly.
Since there are no medical services along the climb, it is essential to bring a complete first aid kit and any personal drugs you may need.
Tent camping is permitted at several authorized campsites along the route as a kind of lodging during the ascent.
