Both the personalities are an important part of the tour. The guide for sightseeing tour is well informed about the historical, cultural, lifestyle and religious aspects of Nepal. Similarly, tour guides are familiar with the trails and the mountains. We try to hire porter from local areas. Our guides and porters are provided with all the necessary equipment and clothing to defend themselves from the callous weather. The guides and porters all are provided with health insurance too.
Acclimatization in Nepal
Altitude sickness is a common thing when you tour at higher altitude. Therefore, acclimatization is an important factor during tour. The altitude sickness mainly occurs once you are at the 1500- 2000m and upward. At the higher altitude, the air pressure gets thinner which mean the amount of oxygen gets low. Not only we need oxygen to breathe but also our body needs it for different purposes. The main we need to acclimatize is to get familiar with the surrounding and the higher altitude. So, when moving forward instantly can be dangerous too. Especially, in the off the beaten track as there is fewer tea houses or residents if one suffer from altitude sickness.
When you move rapidly upward you may suffer from Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), High Altitude Cerebral Edema (HACE) or High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE) which is very dangerous and life threatening too.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory for all clients who are thinking of traveling to Nepal. The travel insurance must cover both the medical and emergency evacuation cost. Travel insurance is necessary for the unexpected risks that may occur while traveling. Therefore, travel insurance policy is to cover theft, loss and medical problems. There are several types of policies available where dangerous activities (bungee jumping, tour, riding motorbike and rafting) are excluded. Hence, one has to carefully choose which policy they want.
You can get travel insurance from any companies that offer travel insurance. Just make sure it is covering all the necessary details. It is very important that you select the ones which include helicopter rescue and acute mountain sickness (AMS). Helicopter rescue is the only way of getting out of the mountains. Even though, the possibility of getting injured is very little so, it’s always better to be prepared.
Before organizing a trip with us please make your travel insurance covers the cost of the necessary details mentioned above.
