In that case, you can try paying double the permitted amount and travel with a guide. Otherwise, you will not get a trekking permit, practically it is annoying.

    How to get trek permits of Kanchenjunga?

    You need a special Restricted Area Entry Permit for Kanchenjunga. The charge to get the trek permit is about 10 USD per person / per week. The permit allows you to start your trek from Tapethok VDC which ends at Yamphuding VDC. The permit can be obtained from Immigration in Kathmandu before your departure.

    Note. – If you are not a Nepali citizen but interested for trekking in Nepal Himalaya, you need a Trekking Permit Nepal, before starting any trek. The policies are different for trekking based on remote areas, which are declared as restricted or not restricted regions.
