The best seasons for the Ebc & Gokyo lake Trek are pre-monsoon (spring) and post-monsoon (fall).


Spring (Pre-Monsoon): Late April to Early June : Spring is considered one of the best times for trekking in the Everest region. The weather is generally stable, with clear skies and moderate temperatures. Daytime temperatures range from 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F) at lower altitudes. It gets colder as you ascend.The rhododendron flowers are in full bloom during spring, adding vibrant colors to the landscape.

Fall (Post-Monsoon): Late September to Early November : Another excellent time for trekking with stable weather conditions. The skies are clear, providing excellent visibility of the mountain scenery.
Similar to spring, with daytime temperatures ranging from 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F) at lower altitudes. Colder temperatures at higher elevations.

  • Day 12: Trek back to Khumjung (4/5 hours walking) and stay overnight at the lodge.
  • Day 13: Trek back to Phakding(4/5 hours walking) and stay overnight at the lodge.
  • Day 14: Trek back to Lukla (3/4 hours walking) and stay overnight at the lodge.
  • Day 15: Fly back to Kathmandu by flight (35 minutes flight)
